Job Title: Workers’ Compensation Analyst

This role is responsible to provide support to the Workers’ Compensation Division in the areas of producer appointments, account research and development of pertinent underwriting information, day to day servicing, routine follow-up for outstanding information and completion of policy documents for issuance of new & existing policyholders. Furthermore, will liaise with an external organization on systems and procedural issues and other related ad hoc assignments. Further duties and responsibilities are listed below.

      • Responsible for registering, assisting in saving received documents or correspondence in underwriting files, and/or assisting with collecting outstanding information for new and renewal submissions.
      • Assist with policy rating, quotations, binders, policy issuance and/or any mid-term endorsements using external party Underwriting systems.
      • Proofread and rectify any discrepancies before distributing issued documents (policies & endorsements) to the appropriate agent/broker representative.
      • Coordinates with internal team to ensure competency in ability to complete and oversee all transferred processing tasks (current or future) are completed in the assigned timeline or in an established timely manner.
      • Provides ad-hoc administrative which includes but are not limited to, communicating/working with agents and brokers, coordinates with individual Work Comp Underwriters to respond to bureau notifications/criticisms, generating or obtaining underwriting or financial information (D&B Reports), initiates cancellation or non-renewal notifications to external party.
      • Leads the broker appointment process by communicating all appointment requirements, assists in collecting any outstanding requirements, provides and documents for compliance all received documents to required parties.
      • Coordinate with external Premium Accounting Team to provide a follow-up on monthly account current statements. Generate a secondary notice of any outstanding and/or credit premium through an electronic communication, while assisting in collecting status on any outstanding balance
      • Executes the transfer of any premium received internally and with the external Accounting party as necessary.
Qualifications

Education:

      • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred

Skills/Experience:

Required:

      • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & MS Teams)
      • Excellent oral and written communication skills
      • Previous experience working in a role that required strong analytical skills and precise attention to details
      • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines and standard accepted underwriting practices
      • Strong interpersonal skills

Preferred:

      • Two to three years’ experience with insurance underwriting type activities
      • Previous experience working in Finance or Accounting
      • Strong Mathematical skills
